The public formula, version 1

effort = 0.6 × utilization + 0.4 × delivery

attention = 0.5 × funded + 0.3 × backers + 0.2 × visits

score = effort × (1 - attention)

• Utilization: spend in the last 14 days over that spend plus the balance still on the key.
• Delivery: milestones delivered over milestones declared.
• Funded: the share of the goal already funded.
• Backers: distinct backers, counted up to 50.
• Visits: visits in the last 30 days, counted up to 1000.

Reactions, comments, followers and commit counts never enter the score. The score only orders Cups: it promises no amount and no date.

Five gates, all required

1. The Cup is published, and not paused, archived or completed.
2. The Standard Commitment is signed.
3. The Cup consumed capacity in the last 14 days.
4. The Cup has a need: its next milestone costs more than the balance on its key.
5. The repository is verified, so backing is not suspended.
